Here at Perton Primary Academy, we teach a broad and rich curriculum of which Design and Technology is an important part.
DT is taught to enable pupils to design, make and evaluate purposeful, functional and appealing products in a range of relevant contexts. We are driven to inspire our children to become creative problem solvers enabling them to learn key transferable skills.
The children will explore cooking, structures, mechanisms, textiles and electrical systems. They will understand what a design brief is and how to select appropriate materials and tools in order to create products for an intended purpose.
