Read MoreHere at Perton Primary Academy, together with our Local Academy Council and high calibre, dedicated staff, we look forward to a valued partnership with our parents over the next academic year.
Our belief is that every child deserves to attend a school where they happy, healthy and safe. We welcome every family through our doors to work in partnership with us.
At school, we currently uphold and celebrate six key values to be Proud, Enthusiastic, Respectful, Thoughtful, Open-Minded and Nurturing. Every Friday afternoon, we award 1 child from each class a star of the week award linked to our value of the week. Parents are invited to join us in celebrating their child’s achievement.
We all uphold the Fundamental British Values in the life of the school so that we develop confident, well-rounded young citizens.
Perton Primary Academy provides a caring ethos and safe culture to ensure a happy, secure learning environment for our children. We have worked hard to create well-established links to local schools, Universities, and the wider Perton community.
We challenge and support our learners to achieve their potential through a caring ethos and a broad, vibrant and meaningful curriculum. Alongside a well-developed enrichment curriculum.
As part of Staffordshire University Academy Trust, we benefit from the wider opportunities of collaboration, training and development and we therefore offer expertise in high-quality teaching and learning.
The strong supportive partnership and commitment between home and the Academy is important to us. We are very proud of Perton Primary Academy and welcome you to visit us.
We have twelve well-resourced classrooms all named after a variety of trees including a spacious nursery, separate library cabin and music area. The grounds consist of a large playground, generous sports field and outside classroom. As part of our field space, we also offer Forest School led by 2 trained members of staff. We offer before and after school club throughout the year. Pupils have access to iPads and laptops to make regular links to the computing curriculum.
Within school time, parents can also opt to pay for peripatetic teachers to teach their child piano, singing, drums, keyboard, bass and/or guitar. We also have a school choir which runs throughout the year. They perform at events such as the Christmas and summer fayre and in local residential homes.
We have a well-established PTFA who run events throughout the year for parents and children. Most recently, they have run a Mother’s Day Workshop, Easter egg hunt and planning a family disco.
Most of our pupils transfer to middle schools within the area in Year 5. The academy engages regularly with the local cluster of schools as a learning community. Children participate in a range of inter-school competitions and events. We make strong links with the local community, church and library.
