Acorns and Willows

Mrs Nash and Miss Shakespeare welcome you to Acorns.

Mrs Burns, Mrs Westwood, Mrs Dhadda and Mrs Golden, welcome you to Willows.

In Acorns and Willows, our environment is planned to both nurture and inspire our children. We will recognise their interests and curiosities, encourage questioning, awe and wonder. Through a range of topics, we will carefully provide provision which will encourage children to develop in all areas of learning.

Parents and Carers can find our first half term Nursery Overview below:

Our first topic supports our children with settling into the new rules and routines of school and encourages them to make new friends and feel confident in their class. It teaches children about being helpful, kind and thoughtful at home and at school. This project also teaches children how they are unique and special, the importance of friendship and how people in their family, school and local community are important and can help them.

Parents and carers will be asked to send in photos of the children’s families. We will use the pictures as prompts to tell us about different kinds of families.

We will learn about their family history and heritage and find out what life was like when their grandparents were children. We will also learn about what it was like to go to school in the past and how everyday objects, such as clothes, toys and vehicles have changed.
