Our doors open at 8:55am and close at 9:00am. Parents are asked to leave messages or make appointments at Reception.
Registration is at 9:00am – 9:05am. We are required to record Lateness in the register for individual children. Any child arriving after 9:00am or 1:00pm must report to the office to be signed in. It is most important to encourage good time keeping. In Nursery the adult-pupil ratio is 1:13 

Pupils attend for either the morning session from 8.45 - 11.45am or the afternoon session which runs from 12.30-3.30pm. Nursery children, aged 2-4 years old, are taught in Acorns nursery by a team of qualified, experienced early years staff.  Acorns also operates before and after school clubs effectively providing childcare from 7.15am to 6.30pm, Monday to Friday, 49 weeks per year.
 
Registration classes are broadly organised in year groups from Year 1. Infant classes do not exceed 30 pupils.

The National Curriculum 2014 is delivered through whole class teaching with differentiation for ability groups matched to pupil's needs to ensure the progress of under-attaining and more able pupils. Learners benefit from participation in collaborative tasks, guided group work, pair work and targeted learning support.

Letters & Sounds systematic Phonics teaching is embedded in daily practice. Children are organised in groups progressing from Phase 1 - 6. Guided Reading is taught in class in groups.
The school has a staff of 10 teachers including the Principal and Vice-Principal. Teachers hold various levels of responsibility related to key areas of learning. There is an experienced non-teaching workforce to support the staff and management systems. 
Phase team leaders are responsible for Early Years, KS1 and KS2. Phase meetings take place every week to refine and evaluate the experiences which have been planned.
